So, I doubt anyone will actually read this, making it a perfect place to vent all my thoughts. Really, by thoughts I mean questions and by questions I mean what on earth am I going to do with me life? I have reached a crossroads-a hidden crossroads to be more specific. I had thought I had chosen my path when I finally decided on a program and a post secondary institution. Unfortunately things can't be that simple. It is two years later and it is time to think about loans. Which has me wondering whether I want to graduate from my current school with forty thousand in student loans OR go home and go to school there with zero debt. I adore my school now, it is such a great community (and recently received an A grade on the Globe and Mail evaluation). However, the oppertunities for my program would be better served by the universities in my hometown. If this were the only issue I think it would be an easier decision. I think the biggest obstacle (apart from my love of my school and friends here) is that my dad has been working in the area here while my mom and sisters are still at home six hours away. I know my dad gets so lonely because he only gets to go home on weekends and he has a really stressful job so it's nice when he and I can see each other and go out for dinner. But on the other hand my mom could really use the help at home. I feel like I have to pick between my mom and my dad. They keep telling me that this situation shouldn't affect my decision at all but it does. I realize how fortunate I am to even be able to go to university because I am one of the few in the world who do. And I get to go away to school as well. Unfortunately, this knowledge of how lucky I am doesn't make this decision any easier.
